Obituary

David Arlen Keith, age 75, of Scottsburg, Indiana, formerly of Milton, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville, Kentucky. Born November 4, 1943 in Locust, Kentucky, he was the son of Clayton and Bernice (Thompson) Keith.

In 1964, Mr. Keith enlisted in the United States Army and was discharged in 1966. On August 6, 1966, he was united in marriage to Donna Sampson and after being reunited later on in life, they were remarried on May 27, 2010. He retired after owning a campground on Hardy Lake for over twenty years but had also owned Pioneer Village in Scottsburg. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the local Disabled American Veterans chapter. Early on in his life, he enjoyed hunting and fishing but had since enjoyed going to the casino, being outdoors, feeding the birds and deer, and gardening.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Donna Keith of Greenfield, Indiana; his son: Adam Keith and his wife, Shana of Greenfield; his daughters: Tara Keith of Boston, Massachusetts, Sasha Keith Backus and her husband, Jeff of Madison, and Robyn Keith of Nineveh, Indiana; his step children: Jimmy McCane, Mark McCane, Michael McCane, Toby Gilleland, Davey Lopez, and Dianna Hawkins; his brothers: Clayton Keith of Newport News, Virginia, Dan Keith of Hanover, Indiana, and Larry Keith of Sanders, Kentucky; his sister: Peggy Keith Hawkins of Carrollton, Kentucky; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-son: Sammy McCane; his brothers: Edward Keith and Wendall Keith; and his great granddaughter, Laynie.

Reverend Ferrill Davis will conduct funeral services at 2:00 PM Monday, January 21, 2019 at Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Wood Oakley Chapel, 37 High Street, Milton, with interment to follow in Moffett Cemetery.

Friends and family may call at the Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Wood Oakley Chapel from 1:00 PM until the time of service on Monday.
