Donna Jean (Sutter) Hunger, age 71 of Madison, Indiana entered this life on October 16, 1947 in Madison and passed away on March 2, 2019 at her residence. She was the loving daughter of the late Juanita Hock Robbins and the late Virgil Sutter.

On May 10, 1963 she was united in marriage to Edward L. Whitaker and was blessed with a daughter, Tina. On January 23, 1967 she was united in marriage to the late Raymond Carter and was blessed with a daughter, Lesley. On March 29, 1980 she was united in marriage to the late Edward G. Hunger, Jr. and was blessed with a son, Eddie.
Early in her life Donna was employed as a cashier at Pride Supermarket, Save a Lot, and Cork and Bottle. She was a bartender at the Crown Room and a waitress at the Dark Horse, Hinkle's, and Hammonds Restaurants. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary #9. She graduated from Ivy Tech with a technical certificate in administrative office technology in 1993. Donna enjoyed bingo, karaoke, camping, and traveling. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was blessed with a wonderful Godmother, Carol Vaughn.
She will be missed by her loving fiance and companion, Charles Wayne LaPine Sr. of Madison and his children: Rhonda, Bubby, Shawn, Julie, and Todd; her son, Edward T. Hunger and his companion, Anna of Madison; her daughters: Tina M. Eaglin and her husband, Monte, of Madison and Lesley A. Childers and her husband, Eric Sr. of Floyds Knobs, Indiana; her grandchildren, Derek D. Eaglin and his wife Katy, Brittany R. Childers and her companion Ricky, Erika L. Childers and her companion Anthony, Eric Childers Jr. and his wife Reba, Travis Childers and his companion Destine, Jacob Hunger and his companion Ashley, and Jacci Robinson and her husband Bill; her great grandchildren, Ryan, Caden, Maverick, Bentley, Noah, Braxtyn, Adalyna, Bethany and her husband Josh, and Jacob; her great great grandchild, Augustus; her sisters: Barbara G. Williams, Margaret E. Edwards and her husband David, Verna Brim, and Faye Sutter and her companion Danny; her aunt Martha Wright; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Father Christopher Craig will conduct funeral services at 10:00 AM Friday, March 8, 2019 at Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, 117 Holt Drive, Madison Hilltop, with interment to follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
Friends and family may call at the Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, March 7, 2019, and from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Friday.
