Louis R. "Donnie" Singer, age 72, of Madison, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at the King's Daughters' Hospital. Born March 21, 1947 in Pineville, Kentucky, he was the son of LeRoy and Pauline (Asher) Singer.

On September 12, 1967, Mr. Singer was united in marriage to Vicki Lynn Madden in Middlesboro, Kentucky.

He worked in the maintenance department of Grote Industries for thirty-seven years. When he was fourteen years old, he worked in the mill at the Kent Feed Store and enjoyed farming for most of his life. He enjoyed camping, blacksmithing, and watching Bonanza and Gunsmoke on TV.

He will be sadly missed by his wife; one son, Brian Singer of Kent; one grandson, Brandon Singer; his "grand-dog" Tyson; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Shirley Cutshall and Kathy Bower; and one brother, Danny Singer.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, April 22, 2019 at Grandview Memorial Gardens, with interment to follow.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to the National Kidney Foundation. Contributions may be made at any of the Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service locations.

I have always been afraid of bees, anyone that knows me at all knows that. Donnie use to flip them in the head and kill them. I always told him he was my hero. I truly feel I have lost my Hero.

Onetime we were riding in the car, mom driving, Donnie in the backseat, Donnie started rocking the car, the police pulled us over and I got the blame for jumping around in the backseat because I was the youngest at the time. I will never forget that.
