Cynthia Ann Johnson-Miner, age 66, of Madison, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2019 at her residence in Madison. Born September 11, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of Harold C. and Eleanor C. (Gent) Johnson.

On August 11, 1995, she was united in marriage to Steven D. Miner in Wheaton, Illinois. Steve and Cynthia lived in Addison, Illinois where she was the Assistant Director of Transportation at the Naperville School District 203 for eight years. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Marklund Hyde Center and was a member of Willow Creek Church in Wheaton. In 2012, they moved to Madison where they became partners at North Madison Christian Church and have really enjoyed spending time with their “Madison friends.” She also enjoyed fishing, reading, looking at model homes and spending time with her grandbabies.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Steve of Madison; her sons: Adam Ristich and his wife, Kim of Villa Park, Illinois and James Michael Fabian and his wife, Susan, of Round Lake, Illinois; her sister, Roberta Misturak of Grays Lake, Illinois; her brother, Lawrence Johnson of Sun City Center, Florida; three grandchildren: Jack Norman Ristich, Charlie Mae Ristich, and Ava Koenig; one nephew, John, and two nieces, Amy and Robin.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Robert “Robbie” Ristich who passed away this past September.

No formal services are planned at this time.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to Marklund Hyde Center. Contributions may be made at any of the Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service locations.

Cynthia was a dear friend that I've known only for a short time. But what a difference she made in our lives. I'm truly blessed to have had her as a friend. Her smile lite up a room and she had the sweetest personality. She loved her grand babies Jack and Charley and when she spoke of them she was always smiling. She always called herself Grandma kisses to her grandbabies. Heaven is rejoicing to welcome her home.
